AeroGarden Away!

Got my little AeroGarden going tonight.  The spider plant that I moved here from Florida in 1988 and I have been both just basking in the grow light this last week as we waited for the seeds to come in.  I’m not sure how the spider plant made it into my boxes nor how it survived the cross country trip and the month in holding.  It did pretty well in most of my houses through the years except this one.  I love the woods, I love our 200+ foot trees, but it doesn’t make for happy spider plants.

I had to stop and think, “Hey, we have lived here long enough that we should be able to notice a difference in the size of our trees.  And most of the trees we had that were “big” when we moved in are now so big that we can’t get our arms around them.  It is hard to show this in photo’s but I will see if we have any old trees to compare them too now.

We moved in here the day Clinton was inaugurated as president the first time.  In all those years this poor plant has held on with around 10 leaves.  Three days with the light and it already looks a lot better.  Let’s see what a 30 year old plant can do with a little TLC.

 Day-1

Day 1:
All set up. Cant you just feel the seeds awakening?  I think it would be nice if we track the spider plant’s growth too.

Here are the plants I’m growing this time.  Lemon Mint, Lemon Balm and Lavender.

The little domes are tiny covers to keep the seeds more moist whilst they sprout.  I will be able to take them off when the leaves hit the top, in about 7 to 21 days.

  1. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but
I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would
never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me.
I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

  2. I’ve been exploring for a little for any high-quality articles or weblog posts
in this kind of house . Exploring in Yahoo I ultimately stumbled upon this web site.

Studying this info So i am happy to express that I’ve an incredibly just right uncanny feeling I came upon exactly what I needed.
I such a lot definitely will make certain to do not overlook this site and provides it a look on a relentless basis.

  3. With havin so much content do you ever run into anyy
issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My blog has a lot of exclsive content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is
popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do
you know anny methods to help reeduce content
from being ripped off? I’d truly apprecciate it.
